Its been 6 months since I last posted here. A lot has happened already. I am now working in Sitel, Ortigas for a UK account. No. I don’t have their accent. This is the first time since my NSI days that I actually enjoyed going to work. The pay is lousy…very. It’s just that I didn’t want an outbound account and I was too lazy to look for another one with really good pay. Or maybe i was just traumatized because the company i last worked with payed big but everything was stressful. Now, almost every week we are at the videoke bar near the office singing our hearts out and most of the time we are there with the clients!!! And one time (in band camp) after shift we went to subic unplanned just 6 of us: 2 agents, 1 QA, 2 coaches, 1 team manager!!! We had to buy clothes in SM Pampanga so we have something to wear after swimming. That was fun.. considering we got lost going there. Our account was just a small group then. Until wave 5 came. They are such prima donnas!! guys and girls alike! Most of them I don’t even know the names, only those in the team I was transferred to. I never wanted to be transferred, my old team was OK. My coach is great and I like most of my teammates. But I guess that’s the price of the account growing and being a part of the tenured reps. My new coach is ok. Loud but ok. "It" looks like Diego of Bubble Gang hahahahÜ He is a she, or she is a he? In any case she is fun to have around, with all her crazy remarks and TF pictures!!! She has studio shots where she is almost bare…well she is actually…only a silky golden cloth is covering her front. She can be irritating because she pushes people to do better, so if she pushed the wrong button, goodluck. I am fine with how she handles the team. But she had the product training with wave 5 so I still prefer my old coach when I have questions, my new coach comes to me for questions.. she even asked me to take a supe call!! I declined of course but it felt nice that she believes in me that much…

Yesterday was bonding time with my in-laws. Voopee had a show with Giselle Sanchez in Binangonan, Rizal and the and would meet at 2pm for the ride to the place. I wasnt planning on going with him. I woke up just after my mom-in-law finished her bath and said it was my turn. She said I am coming with them to bring Voopee to the meeting place. When the band left for the venue we went to Rizal as well. At first we were supposed to go to SM Taytay, but after seeing the multitude of people we decided against it. We checked out the venue of the show instead. It was the Fiesta Casino up in the mountain. The place is called Thunderbird Resort. The view was great and so was the breeze. There was no pollution….until we came along. The car started to fume as we go higher, it was steep, my dad-in-law said we should have turned off the aircon (his suggestion to himself since he was  the one driving). We got there, looked at the place,got some rates and left. We really didnt have anything to do there. Next we looked for the Taytay market. My mom-in-law wants to buy some duster and she said that it was cheap there. We found the place. We only bought gift wrappers because the stuff there was not cheap…Divisoria has cheaper stuffs. Because Greenhills is closer to where we were, thats where we went next. I was able to buy a dress to wear for Jelzon & Rolas wedding for a fourth of the price of the dress that I tried on at the mall. I was able to buy my bebe a Hello kitty for a third of the price of the one we were looking at in Glorietta (I hid it in the room but he couldnt see it hahaha) For my traditional gift list I was able to buy stuff for all the girls. I find it difficult to decide on what to buy for the guys, any suggestions? It is for my 2 uncles, a cousin my age, another cousin in high school, another one in gradeschool, and another just born. We went back and forth in ghills looking for items we could give as gifts. The three of us was there for 4 hrs I think. I purchased:

Sino ba ang humarang sa pinto para di makalabas ang media? Di ba kayo din?!?!? Kitang-kita kayo sa telebisyon!!! Nakaharang kayo sa pinto. Tapos sasabihin nyo concerned kayo sa kanila kaya kayo lumabas? Sino niloloko niyo?!?!? Ang yabang nyo pa magsabi na mangyari na ang mangyari di kayo lalabas. Puro kayo yabang!!! Binoto ka ng 11 milyon? Akala mo naman susuportahan ka ng 11 milyon na yun sa kagaguhan mo? Eh di napahiya ka!!! Wala kang suportang nakuha!!! May dumating ba na sumuporta sayo? Ilan? Wala pa 100???? Hindi ka ibinoto ng 11 milyon na sinasabi mo para magsimula lng ng gulo. Sabi mo hindi iginalang ang pagboto sayo ng tao dahil hindi ka pinapayagan gampanan ang responsibilidad ng isang senador, eh ano ba ang nauna? Hindi ba ang panggugulo mo at pagsampa sayo ng kasong rebelyon? Dapat bang kalimutan na lang yun? Mas mataas ka ba sa batas? Ano ka sineswerte?!?!? Siguro kung itinuloy mo yang gulong sinimulan mo at namatay ka baka sakaling may kinahinatnan yang pinaglalaban mo! Ang lakas ng loob monh hamunin ang gobyerno titiklop ka lng pala nakita mo lang ung mga tangke!! Tama ka, di ka dapat makulong. Dapat sayo SA MENTAL HOSPITAL DALIN!!!

Again, I have resigned from my old company. Maybe the problem is with me since it is my 3rd call center already. OR NOT!!! I am just being practical. The company doesnt offer benefits, not even the most basic ones like SSS, Philhealth & Pag-ibig. Payroll is so not transparent, they dont have payslips that reflect the computation of your actual salary, I tried to request for one on the first pay I got up to now I have yet to receive it. And all the company drama!!! The tension between people in the office is just filling the environment with negative aura. So before I completely stress myself out with all that its better to just leave.

 On the brighter side, I am once again a groupie of Souled Out. You can check out their profile at souledoutband.multiply.com. They just had a star-filled night last Tuesday when Gretchen Barreto decided to do a mini concert with them. OMG! Gretchen is beautiful!!!! With or without make up!! Very flawless. Among her guests are Joyce Jimenez, sister Marjorie, Ana Fegi, Eddie Gutierrez, Annabel Rama, Philippine Idol finalists Pao & Stef, mayor recom of caloocan and other familiar faces. Of course Tony Boy was there and his billionaire friends.

What is in store for me…. I have no idea. But this, too, shall pass.

Ilang araw na lang pasko na. Wala naman ako reregaluhan kundi si Bebe, d pa ako nakakapagshopping. wala kasi ako pangshopping. wala kasi ako trabaho hehehhehehehheh…… 

Halloween has come and gone. Scary stories have been told. Now, i am scared to go to the office’s ladies room alone!!!! How crappy is that?!?! I have received text messages about not being able to visit your dead you can just text and they will be the one visiting you. Voopee’s grandfather had a similar one. Since I am not going home to the province to visit my dead relatives he said "hindi ka ba dadalaw sa patay nyo? Gusto mo ba sila ang dumalaw sayo at hilain ang paa mo habang natutulog?"

It’s been a long time since I last wrote here. There’s so much going on and I barely have the time to write my thoughts down. I am an account manager in my company for more than a month now. My work is not really that many. Or that hard for that matter. And since the owners pride of the company not being a regular callcenter, I am not a regular account manager as well. I don’t have agents under me, I am not promoted. It is just the title that the client gave me to handle their accounts. I am still just a regular agent on the phone. Outbound for the first time in my life. It’s good that it is not hard selling, hell!!! I will be out of there in a heartbeat! The company is small, our employee count only just reached 60, so even if I have been absent 3 times in 2 months, I haven’t heard anything from them. Well, lets see by November!! My dad is flying for the states (again) and I need to send him off on a work night, on a tuesday night. He will be arriving here in Manila from the province Sunday before that. Which means I have to be absent Monday night too!!! They could either fire me or give me a warning. But what’s so bad about that? I don’t plan to be promoted so they can give me all the warnings they want to give. Like I said the company is not a regular callcenter so promotions & titles don’t exist there. It’s gonna look bad on my record? who said I will use them in my next application? Fire me? Goodluck with the client if they lost another agent. Of course that would look bad for the company especially for an account where the client wants hands on in picking out the agents. The client interviews prospective applicants before they are accepted. And the client is the one who trains these agents through telephone conferencing. Gudlak nlng sa kanila!!!

Our big boss from the states couldn’t have picked a better time to visit the Philippines. Tomorrow ex-president Joseph Estrada will be given a verdict of either guilty or not guilty to the plunder charges against him. It’s another history in the making. Whatever the result will be, I am expecting heavy traffic along EDSA specifically at the EDSA Shrine. It may not be a total People Power Revolution but I am guessing people will still gather there. For sure there will be rallies here and there. There may be chaos. Some will get hurt, physically and emotionally. Me? I just want to be able to arrive at work on time…

Have you ever hated someone so much that you passed out? This is a story about Christopher. He is a trainee in his company. Before his 2nd day of training ended he took a test to know how far he has learned. The results were bad…very bad…all the trainees messed up in the test. So the following day the trainer went over the exam and started asking questions to the trainees. The trainer is in another country and only uses the phone to facilitate the training, so she can’t really see what’s happening inside the conference room where the trainees are. Little did she know that the trainees have their manuals open while she conducts the Q and A. But even with the manuals open, some of the trainees still answered incorrectly. So not only was katie disappointed but her assistant Susan, who happens to be the one handling the trainees in the country, was very furious. After Kathleen hung up she talked to the team. "Memorize the entire manual word per word!!! You will not be idle, you need to memorize the whole thing verbatim!! No one leaves the conference room!!" When Susan left the conference room to make calls the trainees started venting especially Christopher. "I have never felt this small in all my life!! f**k!! Let me see her configure the programs that I am doing for the company and let’s see what she can do!!!! I’d rather resign than be treated this way!!! Like sh*t!" His blood pressure rose, he was shaking and started to vomit. He fell on the floor unconcious…
